ITAC is a not for- profit organization dedicated to helping NYC manufacturing and technology companies to grow their top and bottom lines. In so doing, NYC based employers remain in New York City and hire additional New York City residents.
ITAC is funded by Federal funds, which are funneled to a NY State agency (Empire State Development).
The State agency, Empire State Development, in turn dispenses the funds to ten New York Sate regions; ITAC (which covers New York City) is one of the ten.
Empire State Development has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) with the funding details for each of the ten areas.
While the funding for each of the areas was cut, ITAC’s funding was cut over three times a severely as any other area.
While the maximum funding cut for the other 9 areas was 23%,
The cut for NYC was 54%
While other areas in New York State received $2000 per manufacturer, New York City received a lowly $166 per manufacturer.
